Massage Therapy:

Massage and chiropractic work are very complementary. When bones have been out of alignment for a long time, the muscles shorten or lengthen to accomodate the alignment and protect the area. When the bones are re-aligned by a chiropractor, the muscles will often hold the old placement, thus pulling the bones back out of place. Massage helps to release those inappropriate holding patterns, making spinal adjustments both easier and more effective.
